Shané K. Gooding is an award-winning professional Portrait Photographer, Brand Personality expert, owner of Imiivo Photo Studios, and proud mother of a young one who pretends to be Sonic...as of this week.
She specializes in creating modern, confidence-building portrait experiences for the modern individual. And for the professionals embarking on their second or fifth career change into entrepreneurship, she helps them develop a brand personality, honor their stories, and amplify their brand.
With over 20 years creating with a camera, she has been an exhibiting artist, a former university educator, and had an early career in the film & television industry, including Co-Producing a documentary that aired on PBS. She has written, produced, directed, shot, edited, and exhibited numerous media projects. Her formal education and training include NYU for Film & TV, Howard University for a Master’s in Mass Communications and Media Studies, and an MFA from SAIC in Photography.
This has all led her to deeply understand what is appealing and resonating with audiences regarding aesthetics and messaging. She works with many women entrepreneurs to ensure their brand persona aligns with their offer.
When working with her, she will learn about you, listen to you, guide you, even dance with you, and be your biggest cheerleader during every step of the process.
As a self-described empath, laid-back perfectionist, and introvert on most days, she’s on a mission to help people feel empowered, feel visible, transform their confidence, and celebrate their journey. To take up space, honor their worth, and unleash their superpower through the power of a portrait.
Oh, and she’s a grown adult addicted to gummy bears (she asks for your support).

My photoshoot with Imiivo Photo Studios surpassed my expectations. I am still in awe of the photos taken during my photoshoot. I find myself going back to the photos and wondering who is the woman in the pictures?
Then I remind myself that the woman in the pictures is me!
Shané was so professional and patient. Her pre-photoshoot welcome package and wardrobe consultation helped me to prepare and made me feel good about doing something for myself.
The final product simply wowed me and reinforced that there are "camera phone" pictures and then there are "professional" pictures. The finished product of the professional pictures was absolutely worth it, and I had fun during the session.
